From a very early age, Natalie Spiniolas has inherently had a knack for collecting, organizing, and creating unique designs. It seemed that her destiny was to collaborate on and create functional, aesthetically pleasing spaces. Upon completion of her high school education, she set out to do just that, enrolling in classes at a local community college to explore art, drawing, and mathematics courses. She discovered that interior design correlated with those subjects and went on to complete her BA at the Illinois Institute of Art in 2004. Natalie worked diligently for eighteen years in the kitchen and bath design industry, honing her skills as a part of a team, until she knew in her heart that it was time to start her own company.
With a love of world travel, an extensive experience in kitchen and bath design, and the support of her husband, Natalie Spiniolas took all of her knowledge and life experiences to expand her love of design into a thriving business, Tailored Spaces LLC. With her undivided attention to creating sleek modern designs while repurposing vintage furniture and materials, Natalie created a studio that highlights her talents. She showcases the highest quality vendors, including Wood-Mode, Sub Zero, and Cambria, along with high-end cabinetry, countertop, tile, and hardware companies. With the help of her friends, family, and local trades people, she has created a stunning space that welcomes clients and provides a comfortable atmosphere that assists with their visions.
Natalie’s family plays an incredibly important role in managing her business and finding inspiration for her projects. Natalie and her husband Aaron have been married for ten years and are raising their three children together while each pursuing their own entrepreneurial dreams. Aaron manages three agriculture-related businesses on their 75-acre
farm, including raising champion-bred dairy cattle. They both work hard to balance their businesses with a wonderful family life and are grateful for their successes.
Although her family life remains on their farm, Natalie has found her “home away from home” at the historic Starline Factory in Harvard, Illinois. “The minute that I set foot in the building, I knew that it was the one. I couldn’t resist the opportunity to work in this amazing place,” recalls Natalie.
