If you’re looking to buy a home, the options can seem overwhelming. With a myriad of banks and private companies available, people often don’t know where to start. Luckily, there are some highly qualified professionals out there who can help. Introducing Diamond Residential Mortgages: a company committed to helping their clients find options that are just right for them. I had the pleasure of chatting with Christine Clark, the Division President, about what it is that makes Diamond shine so brightly in the Mortgage industry.
Tell me how Diamond Mortgages came to be. Who were the founders, and what inspired them?
Seven years ago, Paul Diamond, the CEO, broke off from his previous company with some of his colleagues, in order to start a more family oriented business. The idea was to create stable resources, in order to provide clients and partners with excellent products and services. The most important point was that the company had to be focused on the actual needs of the customers, above all else.
Which services does Diamond provide to homebuyers and others seeking financing?
Essentially, we work with families to meet their own financial goals, whether that means purchasing, upgrading, refinancing to lower payments or better terms, or cashing out equity for future investments. We believe it’s important to provide as much knowledge as possible to our clients so that they can make educated decisions for themselves, as well as for their families. We have first time homebuyer programs, conventional loan programs, FHA, rehab or construction loans… Whatever it is the client is looking for, we have resources to fit their needs.
What’s the best advice you could give to someone buying a home?
The best advice that I could give is to first analyze where you want to be, both on a financial level and on a comfort level. It’s a great idea to interview anyone you plan to seek help from, so you’re aware of all your options. The key is to make absolutely sure you’re comfortable with the professionals you plan to work with, and you have to understand the terms of your financing. Always ask questions and do your research!
Is it absolutely necessary to have good credit, when considering buying a home?
Good credit is extremely important, but it’s not the only factor. We definitely understand that “life happens”. My suggestion for anyone looking to buy a home with less-than-perfect credit, is to give us a call. We’re always willing to discuss the terms and requirements, and to help you come up with personalized solutions regarding how you can make things work.
What makes Diamond Mortgages stand out, within the industry?
Diamond is built on family. We are family owned, and family values are at the very core of our culture. We try to promote these values internally, as well as within the community at large. Not only that, but we are passionate. We put our heart and soul into helping clients with their financial needs. We’re built on common sense and integrity, and we make sure to always go forward with a “can do” attitude. You could definitely call us perfectionsts, because above all else, we strive to deliver every product on time and error-free. From our products, to our website, to our employees, our goal is to be their for the client. If we can make someone’s dream come true, then we’re doing it right!
