For some homeowners, major home improvement projects feel like an insurmountable challenge. Sometimes it feels easier to put the project off until the weather improves. But at Mather’s Home Improvement, beautifying and improving one’s home is always in season.
Located in Burlington, Wisconsin, Mather’s Home Improvement has been around for more than half a century. The company installs roofs, siding, gutters and gutter covers, windows and doors, insulation, awnings, soffits and fascia, and decks. Mather’s products add value to a home, refresh the exterior, and reduce the time that homeowners spend on exterior maintenance.
Mather’s Marketing Director, Tim Machroli says that the company is well-known locally for the quality and premium materials they install. One such product is ABC Seamless metal siding, which is a superior product to vinyl, that “really protects the house,” says Machroli. Should a piece of siding suffer damage, the strip is easily pulled out and replaced, he adds. Another premium product used by Mather’s is Valor Gutter Guards that feature a micro-mesh technology to handle high water flow, while keeping leaves and debris from clogging the gutters.
The variety of products that Mather’s carries means that the company’s 25 employees stay busy throughout each season. In spring, the company’s business ramps up as homeowners inspect their property for winter damage and anticipate the warm days ahead.
“When spring comes around people are starting to think about making home improvements,” says Machroli.
Indeed, as warm weather draws people outside, they begin to think about creating areas with more shade. One of the company’s more popular products is Comfort Awnings which features motorized controls and sensors for detecting wind and rain. When high winds are detected, the awning retracts. When a sensor detects rainfall, the awning extends to allow use of the outdoor space in any weather. From a practical standpoint, the awnings can also cut exposure to the sun’s damaging UV rays.
Once summer rolls around, customers focus on replacing windows, siding, and doors; the elements that “can add to the visual appeal of the house,” says Machroli. Fall is the time for wrapping up projects and putting insulation in homes to keep them cozy during the winter months. And in winter, says Machroli, there are still a lot of different projects that can be tackled. One such is metal roofing that can be installed in cold, dry weather. Many customers are also interested in replacing their asphalt shingles with those made from steel, since steel shingles last three to four times longer than those made of asphalt.
For customers who want to envision how Mather’s products can beautify the exterior of their home, Mather’s showroom at 30735 Durand Avenue in Burlington has a variety of samples available for awnings, seamless siding, and metal roofing.
Once customers find a product they like, they schedule an appointment with a project consultant. The consultant then takes measurements and answers questions before heading back to the office to create a personalized presentation and a free estimate. The estimate is presented to the customers, along with more time for answering questions and making any necessary adjustments to the project. Once a contract is signed, Mather’s schedules the job and begins the work.
Mather’s reputation is built on the quality of work the company has been doing since 1966. Machroli says that a continuing theme in the company’s numerous testimonials is customers’ appreciation for Mather’s “knowledgeable and personable” employees. The people at Mather’s are committed to their customers’ satisfaction every step of the way.
