Keefe Real Estate, a family-owned company, originally opened its doors in 1943 as Farm Auction Service Inc., providing auction and short-term lending services to farmers in the Lake Geneva area. Three generations later, the company has grown to become one of the largest real estate brokerages in the region, with more than 80 sales agents and, soon, eight office locations serving customers across Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois.
As Keefe has grown to offer additional services and expand into new markets, the team remains dedicated to the people and communities they serve. After many years of servicing customers in both Wisconsin and Illinois, Keefe Real Estate will be opening their newest office in Woodstock, Illinois.
Tom Keefe, CEO of Keefe Real Estate, states, “With so many of our Realtors and customers having ties to both Illinois and Wisconsin, it made sense to add an office in Illinois. Woodstock is just 30 minutes from our Lake Geneva headquarters, and it is a community where Keefe has long done business. Our organization places great value on being involved in our local community, and building relationships with the people in that community. With this move, we are extending what we consider “local” to include the Woodstock area.”
As a key component of the expansion, Keefe will return to its agricultural roots by partnering with a team of veteran farm and land sales agents including Randy Erwin and Clancy Green. Erwin’s long-standing assistant, Natalie Torres, will transition into the role of Managing Broker at the Woodstock office. The Woodstock location at 11705 Catalpa Lane, will be ideal for supporting the farm and land regions of Boone and McHenry counties, and into Southern Wisconsin as well.
Chris DeVincentis, Keefe’s VP of Brokerage Operations explains, “The Woodstock location is centrally located and was designed to be comfortable while providing the needed tools for our agents to serve customers. It has been a great experience for everyone involved and we are thankful to the Woodstock community, which has been incredibly supportive.”
The town of Woodstock is located in the center of McHenry County, just 15 miles from the Wisconsin and Illinois border. This location is within close proximity to cities along the border and will give Keefe the ability to extend reach to surrounding cities such as Bull Valley, Crystal Lake, McHenry, and Fox Lake.
Natalie Torres, Managing Broker of the new Woodstock office explains, “I believe that Keefe is a perfect fit for the area. Since starting in real estate in 1996, I have been committed to this region and this industry and I look forward to welcoming our past clients to our new home at Keefe. Even more, I am thrilled to build our agent team in Woodstock!”
For Keefe, the expansion into Northern Illinois is more than just opening new doors, it is about growing the Keefe family. “As an independent brokerage that has been family-owned for 75 years, we bring an unmatched level of support and service to our customers,” says Tom Keefe. “But training, elevating, and expanding our agent team is equally important. I’m thrilled to welcome the Woodstock team of agents to the Keefe family.”
