Two and a half miles south of Lake Geneva’s charming downtown sits The Geneva Inn. The only hotel directly on the shorefront of Geneva Lake, its exterior is adorned in flowers and classic charm. With just a short drive to the heart of town, its patrons are able to partake in the excitement and amenities that downtown Lake Geneva offers. With an abundance of windows overlooking the water, and a private balcony for all but two of the guest rooms, a breathtaking view is a luxury afforded to every visitor.

The family owned Inn has been operating since June of 1990. As The Geneva Inn waves farewell to its first twenty six years of operations and is excited to sail forward into new horizons. The Inn has undergone tremendous renovations in the past year. In 2015, the owners and management team started working with Architectural Design Consultants, Inc. and Tri North builders – both out of Madison, to design and bring a new Geneva Inn to life. The first phase of renovations has transformed a vast portion of the building, including the lobby, atrium, restaurant, guest hallways, and main floor banquet room. The new design has been poured into nearly every common area. White washed oak, brick replace, black doors, and brass accents. The talented designers have worked with the Inn to keep all its original charm, while creating an atmosphere of relaxed elegance. The Geneva Inn is a combination of classic and contemporary. A perfect blend of cozy and chic.

Although, the restaurant has always boasted a breathtaking view of the lake, especially at sunset, the once classic dining room has new stunning features wherever you turn. The stone-topped bar, high-backed booth tables, black barn-style doors, wood floors, and new furniture throughout all contribute to the relaxed classic and elegant allure. And they now even provide wine lockers, which are available to rent in the restaurant entryway. In other words, guests will have the option to purchase exclusive wines, at a discount, then store the bottles in their locker for future visits; ensuring their favorite vintages are always on hand.

While the dining room will serve its brand new and exquisite menu, complete with delicious steaks and seafood, the vast patio, just one oor below, will be open as a 2nd restaurant for casual warm weather dining. The Geneva Inn welcomes guests to come by boat, or by the lake shore path, for a quick burger and drinks, including their signature boozy shakes. Order in advance to have a to-go order ready to take on the boat. Whether you sit in the dining room, or on the patio, the beautiful view of Geneva Lake is the ideal backdrop to any dining experience.

In addition to the restaurant and patio, The Geneva Inn has updated three private meeting spaces. Seating twenty, The Clary Room is a few short steps off the restaurant’s main dining room. Hidden behind gorgeous sliding barn doors, this quaint room has vast windows facing the lake and beautiful exposed beams to give sophistication to the space. With a large at screen TV, electronic shades, and private servers’ entrance this room make a great option for a private meeting place, business lunches or rehearsal dinners. Located directly adjacent to the atrium is The Starboard Room, which seats fifty guests. With its walkout patios, built in buffet, and modern technology, this room is suited for conferences and banquets. Lastly, on the lower level, is The Port Room, which also accommodates fifty and features its own private bat and foyer area.

If you need overnight lodging, The Geneva Inn has thirty-seven guest rooms and four suites. While guests will receive the cleanliness and amenities they might expect from larger hotels, they will also benefit from the quaint charm and cozy aspects only found at the inn. Each room is comfortably equipped with a at screen TV, cable, and a Keurig coffee maker. However, it is the unique features that bring character to the space. Every room has been decorated individually, and carefully furnished with luxuries befitting the particular room, whether it is a whirlpool tub, balcony, or four post bed. The peaceful balconies, with flower boxes and rocking chairs, are the perfect place to take in the view and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning, or glass of wine by night.

So come by car, foot, or boat. Bring friends, family, or colleagues. Stay for a drink, dinner, or the night. Appreciate the simple moments that will turn into memories. Experience the charm of The Geneva Inn.
