For the past couple years, the Keefe Kares Foundation has held an Annual Celebration in the month of September to help raise funds for various nonprofit organizations. Each year, Keefe Kares invites their supported organizations and their volunteers to the event, along with Keefe business partners, staff members, agents and their guests.
As attendees enter the Walworth County Fairgrounds Activity Center they’ll be greeted by the friendly faces of Keefe agents and staff, the delectable aroma of a pig roast, and the joyful sound of live blues tunes from local musician, Glenn Davis. There will be a wine and beer cash bar, numerous silent and live auction items, as well as a generous selection of raffle baskets for guests to bid on. Proceeds from the event are raised from the auction items, ticket sales, raffle, and beverage sales. All money raised directly benefits the 20+ local organizations that are supported by Keefe Kares.
Each year, Keefe chooses a “spotlight organization” to receive additional awareness, extra funds, and proceeds from a specific auctioned item at the Celebration. In past years the spotlight title was granted to The Tree House of Walworth County Alliance for Children, and the Open Arms Free Clinic. In 2018, Keefe Kares was proud to shine the spotlight on the Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless, a non-profit serving as Walworth County’s only permanent, year-round shelter for individuals and families, which has been in operation for 26 years.
Keefe Kares first introduced this celebration as a small gathering and fundraiser in 2015, but the event has now become their biggest annual grassroots fundraiser. In 2017 the Celebration yielded $25,000, which was distributed to 28 Keefe Kares organizations. With these funds, organizations supported by Keefe can further their programming to serve more individuals and families in need throughout the community. Numerous community partners have sponsored the Celebration in the past, including Creekside Landscape, First Business Bank, Macs Moving and Storage, Southeastern Title, Diamond Residential Mortgage Corporation, First National Bank and Trust, First Midwest Bank, Gage Marine, and many more.[metaslider id=”2053″]
